Many people in the agile community get upset when using the P word. Their instant reaction is to snap back with, “There is no P****** in agile”.  Maybe it it’s because of their past experiences and the pain and now baggage they carry.

You might be wondering what that word is, right?  You may even think, ‘No, Brett, don’t go there!’.  Now, take a deep breath and brace yourself because I will say it.  It is a PROJECT.  Now breathe, take deep breaths!

Alright, let’s cut straight to the chase: the Agile community has a bone to pick with the word “project.” It’s almost taboo, a word that triggers people to and sparks an immediate backlash. But let’s be brutally honest—this aversion is more about baggage from the past than the reality of our work today.
