That’s why we’ve drafted a Code of Ethics. It’s not a top-down rulebook, but as a shared commitment to the kind of culture we want to build.

Introduction
Practiqual is a community of professional consultants, practitioners, and leaders committed to helping our customers and employers succeed. We believe that ethical behaviour is not optional, as it defines who we are and how we conduct ourselves. This Code of Ethics sets out our shared standards. It applies equally to how we engage with one another in the community and how we represent Practiqual in professional settings.
By joining Practiqual, you affirm this code as part of your professional identity.
Integrity and Honesty
“Integrity above all.” Uphold the highest standards of honesty in all dealings. As Practiqual members, we tell the truth, honour our commitments, and take ownership of our actions. We avoid conflicts of interest and bias, knowing that our collective reputation is built on the trustworthiness of each consultant. By choosing to exceed ordinary standards of ethics, we affirm that being a Practiqual professional means being a trusted, transparent partner to clients and colleagues.
Respect and Inclusion
“Every person deserves respect.” Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all members, clients, and collaborators. We treat everyone with courtesy, dignity, and empathy. Healthy debate and diverse perspectives are encouraged as sources of insight and innovation—we welcome constructive criticism and different viewpoints—but personal attacks, harassment, or discrimination have no place in this community. We listen actively and communicate professionally, even when we disagree, remaining calm and never resorting to insults or hostile behaviour. Practiqual’s community strength comes from our culture of mutual respect, open-mindedness, and zero tolerance for toxicity.
Professional Excellence and Accountability
“Commitment to quality and responsibility.” Strive for excellence in our professional work and hold ourselves accountable for the outcomes. We only undertake work for which we are qualified, and we deliver on our promises to clients and employers. Every member takes responsibility for continuous improvement—seeking feedback, refining skills, and staying current in our expertise. If mistakes occur, we acknowledge and correct them promptly rather than blame others. We also hold one another accountable in constructive ways, addressing ethical concerns or performance issues directly and professionally when they arise. By maintaining high competence and taking ownership of our actions, we help our clients succeed and enhance the credibility of the Practiqual Community.
Collaboration and Knowledge-Sharing
“Better together.” Embrace a spirit of collaboration, collegiality, and mentorship within the community. We freely share insights, best practices, and lessons learned, knowing that collective wisdom benefits everyone. Members are open to collaboration and receptive to constructive feedback from peers. We contribute to each other’s growth rather than treat fellow consultants as competitors. In discussions and forums, we focus on ideas and solutions, not on personal egos. Even when critiquing another’s approach, we do so with helpful intent and kindness. This collaborative ethos not only advances our individual capabilities but also creates an uplifting community where everyone feels supported and professional camaraderie thrives.
Confidentiality and Trust
“Safeguard trust through confidentiality.” Protect sensitive information entrusted to us by clients, employers, and colleagues. We strictly safeguard confidential data, trade secrets, and personal information acquired in the course of our work. Members do not disclose or misuse any information gained from client engagements or private community discussions. We respect privacy and uphold all relevant confidentiality agreements and laws. By treating information with care, we honour the trust placed in us and reinforce our reputation as ethical professionals. (In practice, a breach of confidentiality is considered a serious ethical violation subject to disciplinary action.)
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
“Celebrate differences and champion equity.” Commit to creating an environment where diversity is celebrated and everyone has equal opportunity to contribute. We value colleagues and clients of all backgrounds and identities, and we proactively reject discrimination or biased practices. Practiqual consultants strive to be culturally competent and inclusive in our teamwork and client service. We seek out diverse perspectives, knowing this leads to better solutions and richer collaboration. Any behaviour that marginalises or excludes someone, whether due to gender, ethnicity, age, orientation, or any other factor, is unacceptable. By championing equity and inclusion, we not only comply with ethical norms but also fuel innovation and empathy in our professional endeavours.
Leadership and Professional Growth
“Lead by example and lift others.” Whether in formal leadership roles or not, members are expected to model ethical behaviour and help cultivate these values in others. We take initiative to mentor less-experienced consultants, share opportunities, and encourage ethical decision-making within our teams. Practiqual’s code isn’t just a set of rules but a call to leadership for each member—we challenge each other to uphold the code and we celebrate those who exemplify it. By investing in our own growth and guiding our peers, we ensure that the community continuously evolves in professionalism. Every member should feel empowered to constructively call out unethical conduct and to support colleagues in making ethical choices, so that integrity spreads by example. In essence, every Practiqual member is a steward of the community’s standards and culture.
Commitment and Enforcement
“Accountability to the code.” Joining the Practiqual Community means agreeing to this code of ethics and its enforcement. All members formally commit to abide by these principles, understanding that they will be held accountable. We encourage an environment where ethical concerns can be raised without fear of retaliation—issues are reported and addressed through fair, confidential processes. A designated ethics
